Is Thermage popular?

Thermage was featured on Oprah's "Sinkers or Saggers" program on December 8, 2005, and is one of the most desired non-surgical cosmetic procedures of all times. To date (Fall of 2008) about 500,000 Thermage Skin tightening procedures were performed worldwide. MD Spa and Laser Clinic performed more Thermage procedures in 2006 and 2007 than any other clinic in Canada.

Each individual has a different opinion of what they consider acceptable skin appearance. How Thermage® - ThermaCool™ Works

How long is the Treatment?

A session usually lasts 30 to 120 minutes depending on how much area is being treated.

What Can Be Expected From Thermage ®?

Thermage® tightens and smoothes the skin and provides a gentle non-invasive lift of face and other carefully selected body parts (neck, tummy, buttocks, arms, thighs) improving skin appearance and face (body) contour.

How Long Will The Results Last?

The Thermage® procedure results in tissue contraction and skin tightening. This leads to gentle lifting a face and decreasing wrinkles, especially wrinkles around eyes. The results are apparent for a couple of years or even longer, especially of you will follow protect your skin from elements, use sun block and good quality skin moisturizers. Of course, with the progressive aging even the best effects of face lift accomplished by Thermage® will fade with time. Please note that the same occurs with a full surgical face lift – the tightened skin will again become lax and the face will gradually will return to its pre-lift appearance. The Thermage® advantage is convenience, no downtime, no incision scars, and above all no needles or scalpel.

The Thermage® procedure can be repeated in few years, and for some areas that may require additional skin tightening, Thermage® can be repeated in 6 months to even further enhance the appearance. Examples of such areas are lax double chin and jowls.

When Will I See The Results?

New Thermage® ThermaCool is amazing procedure which enables you to see some early results immediately after the treatment has been completed. Many of our Clients are really excited seeing the changes so fast!

As collagen contracts with time and is remodeled, you will experience more and more skin tightening. In general, you will be noting very gradual softening of your wrinkles and skin folds over the face, improvement of your chin and neck area or gradual lifting of your tummy with the stretch marks becoming less visible depending on the treated area, quality of your collagen in the skin and treatment received. The above changes will be taking place over several months and in 5-6 months you will see the final improvement when your collagen has remodeled.

How Many Sessions will I need?

Most people need only one session to treat sagging face or eyelids but to lift tummy, arms or buttocks some people may need one more session.

Is Thermage®safe?

Thermage® is very safe if not one of the safest cosmetic procedures (only 0.4% complications for 275,000 procedures worldwide). Most of the complications that can occur include mild redness or swelling, and extremely rarely transient blistering of the skin. These side effects are minor compared to those of a traditional face lift, tummy tuck or blepharoplasty. Recovery is easy and most people can return to their regular activities right away.

What is New Thermage Thermacool™?

This is a Thermage® procedure with a new larger treatment tip (3 cm²) which facilitates faster, more comfortable, and almost immediate results for the same price as the original Thermage® done with small 1.0 and 1.5 cm 2 tips. This is like getting double Thermage® procedure for a price of regular treatment.

Eyes by Thermage™ is a non-surgical eye lid tightening and brow lift and the eye area designed to treat crow's feet, drooping eyelids, and/or tired-looking eyes.

Tummy by Thermage™ is a non-surgical procedure that helps smooth, tighten and contour skin on your tummy for a naturally younger looking appearance. With Tummy by Thermage™ you can have:

• Tighter skin with improved tone; some patients report a measurably smaller waist and skin that feels tighter.
• Many patients see noticeable reduction in deep wrinkles and healthier skin texture over all.
